MEET ASHLEY & CARMEN
Our Story
It all started with a little chaos… literally.
A Little Chaos & Mess Studio wasn’t born from a business plan. It grew out of our everyday lives, our friendship, and a summer with Donnie and Emma at home.
We’re Ashley and Carmen, two friends who share activities with the kids, unexpected ideas, and those little moments that make life with them so much fun… and, let’s be honest, sometimes a little chaotic.
Especially in summer, when the days seem endless and that familiar question comes up:
“What are we going to do today?”
So we started doing what so many moms and families do: improvising.
Painting. Creating. Trying new activities. Looking for projects that would spark Donnie and Emma’s curiosity and keep them entertained. Something that would let them step away from screens for a while, use their hands, explore their imagination, and, most of all, enjoy time together.
What we didn’t expect was how much we would love it, too.
They enjoyed every step of the process, and their excitement rubbed off on us. There was always a new idea, another color to try, or one more figure we wanted to make. We got so hooked that an afternoon activity became something we all wanted to do again.
And somewhere between paints, molds, figures, tables covered in supplies, and more than one mess we had to clean up afterward, we realized something:
The best moments were almost never the perfect ones.
They were the paint-covered hands. The colors outside the lines. Donnie and Emma proudly showing us what they had created. The laughter around a table that would definitely need a good cleaning.
Then we asked ourselves:
“What if we could turn something that makes us this happy into an experience other families could enjoy, too?”
That’s how A Little Chaos & Mess Studio was born.
We create ready-to-paint plaster figures and creative kits to make finding a family activity a little easier. We prepare the materials; you simply open the kit, gather around the table, and start creating.
You don’t need to know how to paint. Everyone doesn’t have to choose the same colors, and the finished piece doesn’t have to look exactly as you imagined. A flower might turn out blue and a dinosaur pink. Every creation carries a little of the person who made it.
Because, in the end, it was never just about painting a figure.
It’s about a summer afternoon the kids will remember.
A little imperfect creation that ends up being treasured.
Laughter around the table.
Stepping away from screens for a while.
Giving kids room to be kids.
And discovering, just as we did, that a little chaos can become one of our favorite memories.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS
Before the mess begins.
What is plaster of Paris?
It’s a gypsum-based material used to cast shapes. Our business focuses on figures that are already formed and ready to paint; you don’t need to mix or cast the plaster yourself.
What comes in a creative kit?
Our 2-, 3- and 4-figure kits include 2, 3 and 4 paint pots respectively, plus one brush per kit. The Mini Dino Kit includes 10 mini dinosaur figures, 4 paint pots and one brush. Choose a preset combination or build your kit by mixing sizes and themes. Paint colors are selected by Ashley and Carmen.
What ages are the activities for?
Product-specific age recommendations and safety instructions are pending. Adult supervision and suitability guidance will be provided before products are available to order.
Can I order or book an event now?

Do you offer shipping, pickup or returns?
